From scenic overlooks along Lookout Mountain to the waves crashing on sandy shores or the towering buildings in Atlanta to historic bridges and battlefields, Georgia tourism has much to offer. If you're looking for a day trip that will combine a few adventures, check out Scenic World's Great Round Walk , which includes the Scenic Skyway, Prince Henry Cliffwalk, Giant Staircase and Federal Pass. Taking an hour and 45 minutes to complete, this appealing walk will allow you to immerse yourself in the majestic grandness of the Blue Mountains.

Continue straight: From the intersection, this walk follows the lower of the two footpaths, heading south down to the large lookout underneath Echo Point. Along the walk, there are a couple other off-shoots of the trail for other lookouts (the Rock and the Bridal Veil Lookout).

They serve excellent Mallorcan cuisine in generous portions, which is a perfect way to end a perfect day in the mountains. For example, much of the Bells Line of Blue Mountains Road, the northernmost road over the Blue Mountains, passes through the national park. Echo Point is a wonderful stop on any day trip to the Blue Mountains The lookout is also a fantastic base and starting point for a range of bushwalks and hikes. Little over 100km from the centre of Sydney, the Blue Mountains are one of Australia's oldest and most popular natural areas.

Depending on traffic, it might actually take you longer to drive to the Blue Mountains than taking the train. To avoid unavailability or spending too much, ensure you book your Blue Mountains accommodation in advance, especially during the popular holiday period.

The 8km return walk is regarded as a moderate to hard walking track and connects to the Federal Pass in Katoomba. The walk takes in many additional lookouts along the way, each with its own unique view of the Blue Mountains. Several walks can be accessed from here, so if you're looking to go for a longer track, take the Fern Bower Circuit — a 4.5km loop, this moderately challenging track takes hikers along an impressive cliff line and down to the lush Jamison Valley.
